Fifty years of dogs on this land
The Fairburn property opened as Celebrity Kennels in 1972 and has run as a kennel ever since. It later housed the USDA Beagle Brigade, the detector dog teams that work the ports of entry.
It reopened as Best In Show Paws and Pastures in June 2026 under Hilde Haakensen, who has spent over 35 years breeding, showing, training and competing with dogs. FOX 5 Atlanta covered the opening.

Which location should I use?
Fairburn has the nine acres and the cattery. Cascade Road in Atlanta is our original salon and kennel. Hours differ, so check before you drive.
What should I pack?
Their usual food, bagged and labeled per meal, and any medication in its original labeled container. We have premium kibble at $3 a day if that is easier.
